I prefer glass jars placed upright in the tank to bricks. They are lighter and cleaner. I have also used flappers with the timer float on them, to adjust how long the flapper will stay up. To save even more water, you can divert some of the water from the fill tube away from the overflow tube and into the tank instead. Terry

: I have a 60's vintage toilet and it uses a considrable amount of water each flush. Other then throwing a couple of bricks in the tank is there anything out there that I can install to reduce the water usage? Or should I go get some bricks? Don
