The cartridges were probably okay. The leak is from the rubber seats that the cartridges press against. replace them and it should work properly.
: We have a leaky faucet in our shower/tub. They were installed new in 1997 and are Delta. We replaced the inner cartridge in both hot and cold sides but it continues to leak. Any suggestions on what to try next?
