| In response to Re: REPLACING OLD BATHTUB WITH ONE PIECE | |
![]() Replacing a tub with a new one-piece tub shower unit, would require a hole in the side of the home large enough. Tubs can be 32" wide x 80" tall. Too large for a doorway. To position the tub in a bathroom requires the drywall to be off, toilet removed, ect. The easiest remodel of a bathroom tub, would be to replace the tub with a 30"x14"x60" tub, and install a new 3-piece surround. I like the cultured marble very much. Tile is easy to do also. For an economy job, check into the 1-piece laminate surrounds that are bent into place. If these are installed with "legs" they work rather nicely. Regards, |
