If the wall that has to move is where the plumbing piping is located, then the cost will be very high. Otherwise, it should be fairly reasonable. And, moving the tub a couple of feet may not be a big deal, again depending on how the existing unit is piped.
: My husband and I are purchasing a new home with a terribly small, old bathroom. The toilet and sink are fairly new, but the bath is the original and has an outside window inside the stall. We would like to remove the entire unit and possibly minimize a hall linen closet in order to put in a brand new tub away from the window and make the room larger. Would this be a very expensive project? Would moving the tub a few feet require all new plumbing? Is it worth it? Any other suggestions?
