The shine was in the glaze that has been scoured away. Some professional tub refinishers may be able to restore the glaze, but they may have to put a new color coat on to do it. It is not inexpensive, but is still cheaper than installing a new tub. : I live in the uk and have a 10year old Cast Iron Bath finished in Burgandy Enamel, over the years the finish : has become Matt due to abrasive cleaners, is there anyway of polishing the finish back to a shine, I have tried car polish T cut : etc but it doesnt make any difference..HELP...
