Bathtub faucet leak

Dear Sir/Madam, A very slow flow of hot water is coming out of my bathtub faucet, although I have the valves fully turned off. I don't have the slightest idea how to fix this problem, especially without breaking apart the bathroom walls. Can you please advise me on how to correct this problem? Matthew
