|In response to Re: toilet drain pipe|
Thanks for your advice. The only side wall available is an exterior wall. Would it be better to elbow the drain and run the vent into the wall behind the toilet?
: Can you install the vent in a side wall before you get to the toilet so you don't have to elbow anything. I get the impression that an elbowed vent would not be rising before it reached the wall, in which case that would not be a good installation.
: : We are installing a new toilet. The main drain pipe runs alongside the new toilet with about 15' in between. If the vent is placed in the wall directly behind the toilet, the drain pipe will have to be elbowed and then connect to the main drain. Would it be better to do this, or run the drain pipe straight and elbow the vent? Thanks for your advice.
