|In response to Re: Well Water Reserve Tank|
Yours sounds like a monster. How many in your household? The Home Depot model is a typical pressure tank, perfectly capable of the 40-60psi setting of your pressure switch.
: I need to replace my 28 yr old stainless steel well tank (it is leaking through the bottom). I can't find anything on it that indicates it's water capacity. However, externally it is about 5 feet tall and 18 inches in diameter. I went to Home Depot to see if they sold tanks like these. They have 35 gal. bladder tanks that look to be only 1/3 the size of this tank and retail for about $180. I have been told that replacement tanks like mine could run $700-800. Will one of these new small tanks sufice? Is it a straight "bolt in" for my original? Can I run the same pressure (40-60 psi)? Thanks.
