It is simple. If the grout is bad and/or the holes are plugged, then any water that reaches the pan will be trapped there. If it is able to cause a leak, then the pan is defective, or it was installed improperly and the wall tile is leaking.
: How does one know if it is the shower pan that is bad or if water damage to the bathroom flooring may be due to clogged weep holes in the shower drain and cracks in the tile grout?
