: pls help
Jeff, Shut off the cold water to the stool or the whole house. flush the toilet and then plunge it until you get most of the water out. Disconnect the cold water to the stool. take the nuts off the bolts in the base of the stool and pick up the stool. Have a # 3 no seep wax ring . take the old wax ring up and discard. put the new wax ring on the flange. set the stool back down and twist a little bit. put the nuts back on the bolts reconnect the water line and turn on the water. check for leaks ,then flush. check for leaks. Now thats the way it should go but there can be some complications, no floor flange or rotted wood under stool can mean more work. good luck.
