Washer, and laundry tub on same trap?

It is ok to have my stand pipe for my washing machine, and a laundry tub on the same p-trap. This is in a basement, and the cast iron drain pipe is in the floor, to the right of both the w. machine and the laundry tub. I plan to use 2" pvc. the vent and standpipe will be in the wall, then I plan to come out of the wall, have the laundry tub drain into line just before the p trap, which will be just prior to where the line goes into the main line under the basement slab.
