Is the tile water resistant? A lot of mexican tile is not high fired and will deteriorate when subjected to moisture. Use KeraPoxy grout and mildew should not be a problem. : We are redoing our bathroom, including tile. We have chosen Mexican tile all around, including in the shower. It is supposed to have 1/4" grout inbetween, partly because the tiles are uneven and partly for the "look". (They say you can go down to 3/16"). The question: won't we have problems with mildew in the shower with such wide grout lines?
