The units have safety interlocks to ensure that they work properly. Your biggest problem with them will be if the blower does not function properly so that the units cannot ignite.
: I am planning to buy a townhouse that is not yet constructed. They are installing power vented gas heat & a gas hot water heater using 2 horizonal white plastic pipe from the basement thru the garage to the outside. This townhouse will not have a chimney. Is there any problem with this type of application? Does it require any special care? Is there any worry about products of combustion not venting to the outside properly and causing pollution and/or health problems? What should I look for and what questions should I be asking to make sure that the installation will not cause me future problems? Thank you.
