|In response to Re: BATHROOM WALL|
A 3/8" shim strip and 1/2" sheetrock or greenboard will fill the gap, however, plaster was never a precise material and so the 7/8" dimension may not be the correct one at all locations.
: I HAVE A 60 YEAR OLD HOUSE. SOMEONE INSTALLED A TUB INSERT IN THE BATHROOM. WHEN I TOOK THE INSERT OUT I FOUND THE WALL BROOKEN AND PART OF IT MISSING. THE WALL IS 7/8 INCHES THICK AND IT IS PLASTER. I WOULD LIKE TO REPLACE THE BROKEN OUT SECTIONS BUT I CAN'T FIND ANY COMBINATION OF MAT'L THAT WILL FILL IN 7/8 INCH. IT IS ALL AROUND THE TUB AERA THAT IS BROKEN AWAY.
