We had a leak behind the tile on the upper part of a tub/shower combination, and a bit of the tile started crumbling.

Now the leak is fixed but the tile needs to be replaced. Should we yank the tub and get a new one?
It's cast iron and 40 years old. Is replacing a tub a difficult job? We like to do-it-ourselves.

The cabinets have always been a little off -- the doors don't close real well. The two sinks that are set in the cabinets match the pink tub.

How much do bathroom remodels tend to cost? Is it worth it in terms of home value? Do I really want to do this?
