We replaced out Italian "Ceramic" (actually the red clay stuff with colorful glaze) last year. The tile guys used 2 pound sledge hammers.. one in each hand.. lotsa dust..then wide chisel to take of bumps. We replaced with 13" square ceramic tiles.. looks great. I guess u can say it was worth all the dust.
Suggestion. Rent a large pedestal fan.. place at back door and open all doors so dust cloud will go out back..
