: I am/have currently installed 1/2" soft copper, flared to black/steel pipe and regulator w/shutoffs.
: Have pressureized system to 10 #s for ten minutes w/ no leaks. Regulators closed prior to pressurization.
: My question is, on the drip leg of the steel pipe, what length, will/ does southern bldg. code require
: to pass inspection.
: Thanks in advance:

Bill you mean to say you can use soft copper on gas? the upc won't allow it. a 6" drip leg should be sufficant. If it were my house i would use all steel pipe for gas.Dale
