Tried upgrading steel water line to copper. While trying to undo the steel lines sprung a leak on the outside (street side) of the water meter. Had to get the water shut off to the house. While exposing the leak I found the steel pipe connected to lead piping going out to the street. How do I connect copper pipe to the lead pipe ???? Help !! Help!!. I don't want to dig up the lead pipe All the pipe size looks to be 1/2 inch and the previous connection looks like the lead was melted (sweated) Can copper and lead pipe by hooked together????? |
