You use acid to clean copper, or to add a patina to it. Anything in rainwater should only create the patina. Copper roofs have been used for centuries and few if any have failed. : I have heard stories that rainwater, or should I say properties found in rainwater corrodes copper. Do you know of any evidence that either confirms or rejects this theory. : Best Regards
