It is not the toilet. The flange is supposed to be sitting on the floor, and if it were the wax ring would seal properly. If the flange cannot be pushed down and secured to the floor, it should be removed and a new one installed. : I have a problem with a Briggs toilet. I have replaced the wax ring 5 times and it still leaks. I think the : toilet must be made wrong because each time I remove the toilet the old wax ring has been squashed : to the point of leaving no wax above the flange.The flange is above the floor about 7/16" and the toilet : base is 1/2" below the bottom of the toilet. Any Suggestions?
