Laura: What you intend doing is a pretty straight forward plumbing chore that can be handled by most DIY homeowners with basic skills and tools. Relocation of the drain may be a little difficult if the remodel site is on the first floor of a slab on grade home. After the damaged wood has been dealt with, you will be able to relocate the shower valve to a more convienient level.( as a matter of fact it might be prudent to install one of the new pressure balanced scald guard shower valves at this time.) Once the shower pan is installed and the new shower valve is roughed-in according to instructions, the dry wall can be installed if it is not to be a "mud job". Then the tile can be
installed. The glass doors should be of the tempered type for safety reasons..Lots of luck.Bud
