low water pressure

I read a thread that posted in April regarding low water pressure. I have the same problem here. We're on a well and all equipment seems to be operating properly, however, the household pump switch is 30/50 and I was told that a 40/60 was too much by a plumbing supplier. There's a good chance that the lines have some build-up. Would it be limited to galvanized nipples or is it possible it effects all of the plumbing.

Is it difficult to re-plumb with a manifold system?
