: I live in an old colonial house circa 1920.There is a laundry room next to the bathroom on the second floor. There are separate hot and cold water pipes for both rooms. I want to remodel both the bathroom and laundry room. Can I feed both bathroom and laundry room with one hot and cold water feed from the basement? Should this feed be increased to 3/4 in pipe?. Also can I tie in the dwv from the laundry room into bathroom or should it be routed to basement then connected to main dwv? Thank you.

Chris, the hot and cold water lines need to be 3/4". the waste for the laundry can be tied into existing drain lines as long as it is 2" and not a VENT line.the drain line for the washer needs to be 2". Dale
