Are Toto toilets REALLY better?

I recently read the recent Consumer Reports which did not list Toto but I also saw the 1995 Consumer Reports review which didn't rank Toto very high on flushing or cleaning. But I've heard from others that they are great (mostly their ads...). Question: are they as good as or better than the other brands rated higher by Consumer Reports? Any info appreciated. Thanks.
