If you have two access panels on the front of the water heater, the reset is behind it. Otherwise it is behind the bottom panel. Pressing it will give you hot water, and if it was just a one time glitch, that will take care of it. Otherwise the heater needs servicing for bad element(s), and/or therostat(s).
: Please help. I am a navy wife and my husband is gone right now. Yesterday I had plenty of hot water and today none. I have checked my breaker and it was not thrown. I scanned back through the message boards and noticed reference to a reset button. Where do I find this? Also if this does correct my problem, how hard would it be for me to replace the water heater and is there some pleace I can get basic instructions for this. Any help is appreciated.
