: When I turn the hotwater on the, water runs out the spout but it also runs at out the knob. I tried to unscrew the screw that hold the knob on. But the screw is very rusted and I stripped it a bit. I did use liquid wrench on it. DO you have any ideas about how to remove the screw? And will replacing the knob and the part that screws into the wall fix the leak you think?
: Thanks

replaceing the knob or screw will not fix the leak. take a brand new phlips screw drive that is the same size as the screw and get a hammer. put the tip in the screw and hit the handle with the hammer.then try to unscrew it. being a strong person will help also. if that doesn't work you will have to drill it out. sounds like a delta or valley faucet. you can get parts for these at your hardware store.
