|In response to Re: diverter valve stuck!!|
: i am replacing the stems in my bathtub. thus far i have removed and installed new hot and cold stems but i am having a problem with the diverter valve. it is stripped and will not come unscrewed. it is made of brass so when ever one tries to unscrew it it gets more stripped. i have tried tub wrenches and an assortment of other tools and nothing is working. the stem was sheared of and is recessed into the wall. my next step is to take the marble off and see if i can get a better grip on the valve. any ideas before i make an even bigger mess?
maybe this is a good place to try some of the opoxy mixes and opoxy something to the broken stem and let dry over night. just a wild thought.Dale
