I'm finishing my basement and installating a bathroom with sink, toilet, shower (in that order from left to right). I planned on tapping into the main DWV line (3") under the basement floor - hole already dug. Question: the toilet drain plumbing will be well below the shower, but the shower will use the same drain line (3" for the toilet and reduced to 1 1/2" for the shower). Do I need to vent the shower? and if so, how - it's right up against the concrete wall - no way out. Question: What will happen if I don't vent the shower? Thanks Kurt |
