I know they work. I have them on my home. But don't be fooled, you can't just buy cheap magnets at a hardware store and think they will work. I have GMX Magnet Water Conditioners and they come with a 90 day no questions asked guarentee and a lifetime warranty. Check out my website at www.jps.net/cwlove/gmx : Do these things actually work? They seem greatly overpriced for what they are, but if they work, they : might be worth it. I recall, in the 1940's my father installed a pot-bellied union gadget on a commercial : size water heater coil to stop deposits from clogging. Before using this gadget the coil had to be : replaced at least once a year. After the gadget was installed, no clogging. Inside the union was : a chise edged bar of metal. I don't know how it worked. Neither did the plumber that : installed it. He did guarantee that it would work, though, and it did.
