If you have to do it be prepared to do it again. You would be better off opening up the top and the bottom of the walls you have to go up, and feeding the copper pipe up from the basement through new holes. You should only have to open the walls enough to fasten the pipe to backing. Most of the soldering would be done in the basement.......Just a thought........Lou
