The metal fittings are better, the pipe is still lousy. If the townhouse is in the U.S.A. and is less than 12 years old, it may be eligible for replacement. : Hi - I am from Canada, and had a question about this much talked about pipe. I have a brother who was just about to buy a 3 year old townhouse, and upon inspection, found it to have this pipe throughout the complex. Is this pipe improved now? I have heard that it is still being used quite widely - have they fixed it, so there are no more leak problems? I want to know FAST, as he has decided not to buy because of this, and I don't want him to pass this opportunity up, if it's ok. Thanks very much for your help!
