Jiang, Questions posted here are welcome. I talked to Carl at the Pool & Spa Works in Seattle about this question. Pools spas are different than water heaters in these ways. Smaller, more compact. Venting is different. Higher BTU for 30-40 gallon per minute flow. More cost efficient heating. Can be outside in the rain. Carl likes the Purex Minimax 100, which is a 100,000 BTU unit that sells for $999.00 and comes with a chimney.
