My hot water heater moans and groans and complains after using the hot water. I also notice that my electric meter spins VERY rapidly. When I shut off the breaker switch for the heater, the meter came to an abrupt crawl. If I replace this heater, will that meter slow down significantly? This is a cabin that I use on the weekends. Would it be ok to shut the breaker switch off during the week and throw it back on Friday nights to save energy?
