: We are putting a corian counter top in our new kitchen. The problem is that we do not know if we should get the corian sink or the americast sink. We have heard that the corian will stain pretty easily and is almost twice the cost of the americast. Have you heard anything bad about the americast sinks? Durability and stain resistance?

I bought an AmeriCast black sink right befor Thanksgiving, 98. I would like to cast it into the lake, because in the short time we have used it in a family of three, the divider between the two bowls has become scuffed. I don't believe that it is possible to make the finish as hard as that enamal, baked onto cast iron.

I would like to buy a Kohler to replace the Americast junk sink, but the price is about 300 bucks more!
