The screws cannot be installed lower than the overflow point of the shower, usually the finished door sill. The lead will not seal the screws since the screw will rust and loosen from the lead. Also, the tile job would have to be very poor for the water to be leaking into the pan in only five months. : Hi! I need your help? If a lead pan is installed and you install the wonderboard on the walls how high do you have to put the screws from the floor and if you put the screws through the lead pan will the lead self seal the screws?.
