Hi We have a problem with a strong septic smell in our house when we have a fast hard rain or long steady rain. We are on a septic tank. We also never smell septic on regular day. We went on our roof and looked down the vent pipe and we can see water. We flushed the toilets and saw water enter the vent pipe but never completely drain out. I have done a little studying on the subject and understand that our house drain type is a wet type vent. The problem is I thought the water was to drain completely out. Is this the source of my problem? Is there something stuck in my vent pipe and if so, how does one try to get it out? Thanks |
