I'm having some minor back up in a floor drain in our finished basement. Initially I had trouble flushing the basement stool, but plunged it and it's now working fine. If I flush the stools one after the other (3 stools) there is minor back up in the 'hole'. I'm worried about a blockage somewhere in the line and afraid of what will happen when my water softener kicks on. Is using chemicals for possible roots in the line a good idea? It being Saturday I can't reach a plumber and wonder if this can't be fixed without one. Today is the first time I noticed the problem and it looks like it backed up enough to we the floor in a 1 foot radius of the hole. Thanks for your help
