: Happy New Year Moore edcd@gte.net I have a similar problem in that my Maytag dryer is not igniting but the drum is turning. I followed your directions and looked in the vent door in the front of the dryer. I found a piece that had broken off. It is 3/16 round and about 1 1/2 inches long, white and it looks like it might be part of the igniting system, i.e. it is brownish for about 1 inch in the middle. Is this my problem and if it can be replaced, will that solve my problem?
