|In response to Re: leaking outdoor faucet|
: : : I have Anti Siphon Faucets ouside, 2 of them, on the stem there is a hole just before the handle. Every time I turn on the water, water leakes from the hole. Water gets everywhere. The faucet has the UPC shield on the top of the siphon part, an ASSE 1019 on the top of the siphon relief and on the side of the faucet itself it says A8P on one side and USA on the other. Why the hole? They have regular metal handles on them, are they maybe the wrong handles? A commercial contractor built this house, is has his and there are many commercial products in it instead of residential products. HELP
: : The Anti-Siphon Faucets you have are manufactured by Arrowhead Brass of Los Angeles, California. The hole is where water is suppost to drain in a backflow condition, so water drains from the hdyrant instead of going back into the potable water system. However, it appears the seal is broken that keeps water from leaking under positive (normal) flow. Contact Arrowhead and they should be able to point you in the right direction so you can purchase replacement stems.

I have the same problem. Arrowhead Brass has a website. One of the links is location of suppliers. I found a supplier in the Cincinnati area where I live.
