|In response to Re: Installing a temporary shower in basement|
I recall helping my father install a stand alone shower stall (from Sears) in their basement while they were also remodeling. It drained into a floor drain. This shower ended up being used for about five years.
: We are planning to remodel our full bath and we are thinking about installing a "temporary" shower (actually we would leave it there) in the basement. We are going to attempt most of the remodeling ourselves so anticipate it taking a while. Are we crazy to put in a shower primarily for that reason? Would it be too costly?
: The shower will most likely go next to the sump pump. We have a washer and dryer hooked up in the vicinity and we were thinking about using those pipes.
: Do you have any suggestions as to what might work best for the shower stall itself and/or the plumbing?
