I'm converting a basement half bath to a full bath.
RIght now, there's a cast iron closet bend running into a fitting in the slab.
I'm assuming it's a hub rather than a no-hub (since everything visible is hub joints) but haven't broken out the concrete yet.
Can I remove the iron closet bend and replace it with ABS if I use a neoprene gasket?
Or, should the iron closet bend be cut short to provide a no-hub connection that can be extended with ABS?
Also, is there a way to tap into an existing galvanized vent pipe without cutting it?
Thanks. Hey, this website is the coolest thing.
