|In response to Re: Water Softner|
: I am wanting to put in a water softner. I have heard so many pro's and con's. Some say you can't drink the water or use it to water plant's, grass, tree's etc.
: We have very hard water. Do you hook it up to the hot water only? Any adivise would be appreciated.
7/24/02 Your water softener should be connected so it treats all the water going to your house. You'll realy be pleased when you take your first shower with good water. However, you may want to save salt by not treating the water you use for your lawn. You could do that by diverting the lawn water before it goes through the softner. Where do you live? Do you have a water test? Are yu on municipal water or a well? If you have a test, send me the info and I'll try to help. firstname.lastname@example.org
