Yes. Many sellers are finding that they have to have it replaced before buyers will purchase the residence. A 1989 home has until 2001 to have the replacement made under the Polybutylene pipe settlement. But I personally would not wait that long. : I am in the process of buying a home that has Qest piping. The home was built in 1989. :
