I have a 50 gal Sears water heater whose warranty expiration date was 10/91. The pilot light has gone out several times and is always quite wet when I go to relight it. I have decided to replace it. What do I need to look for in selecting a water heater and why is there such a great difference in prices? I have seen them from $198.00 to $497.00 in price and also what is "direct vent"? JTM |
