I think cast iron sawsall blades are an abrasive blade without teeth. I think the Lennox brand blade is blue in color.

P.S. Does a grinder with a ferrous metal cut off blade work?

: : Hi,
: : This is embarrassing. I need to cut a two inch castiron drain pipe. I have started cutting it with 24, 28, and 32 tooth per inch hack saw blades. While in an awkward position, I am not weak and have cut a good deal with this humble tool. So, what is the story on cast iron pipe. True, when I went to get some new 32 tooth blades, only ACE hardware was open, but right now the blades only scrape off the black paint. I have used Sawzalls at work for about everything, but, I cannot use my work tools for home huse. Any suggestions.
