My sister-in-law's hot water heater pilot light goes out once every couple of months. It is installed in a closed-in closet (by itself) in a mobile home. These flameouts seem to occur in windy weather, so my thery is that a downdraft is coming in the exhaust pipe and blowing out the pilot. Likely? Is there a exhaust cap/downdraft preventer I could install? thanks for any assistance |
