I too am having the same difficulty with this unit. Went to the hardware store and tried to convince a clerk that something was missing and didn't get very far. Purchased a "Diverter Repair kit" that had packings and washers in it, but I think the one that is referred to in the message above was missing. So, my question now, is; Which washer EXACTLY is the one missing inside the assembly? Can't tell from the picture that you posted, and can't tell from the PDF file on the Price Pfister site either. Help Please?
