When a second floor sink drains and its cool or cold outside and the drain water is warm or hot. The wall where the pvc drain pipe runs sounds like some on is hitting it with a hammer while the water is draining. No other devices cause this noise. I have opened up the wall and all I see is a 3" pvc pipe? can someone tell me what causes this hammer noise and how to correct it? thanks Neil Monk |
