That is how many of the new pans are done now. The main thing to worry about is the alignment. The pipe should be vertical without any angle to it. You can put a little soap on the rubber donut to allow the pipe to slip though easily.
: I'm installing a new Mustee shower pan and walls. The old pan and walls were in bad shape. When I removed the old pan, I noticed that the pan was only connected to the 2" p-trap waste drain by a rubber sleeve. The new pan also has a rubber sleeve to connect up the drain. Is that all there is? Are there any special trick or tip on installing the sleeve to ensure a good seal and no leaks. Would appricate help before I turn on the H20. Thanks
