I have a washing machine that drains so fast that the water cannot go down the drain fast enough and it backs up into the house. I have talked with several plumbers, and they have suggested (the costly) way to fix it is to tear out the wall and replace the pipe with a larger one that will accomodate that amount of drain flow. Some of the plumbers have suggested trying to reduce the amount of drain flow by restricting it somehow but I am not sure the best way to try to do that. If you have any tips, please email me. Thanks. |
